Owner Kim Amity was born and raised in Northeast Ohio.  She graduated from Bedford High School in 1985, the University of Akron in 1990, and then pursued nursing and graduated as an RN in 1995.

Kim was employed at the Cleveland Clinic in Cardiothoracic Surgery until 2003 and following that, had a career in Medical Device Sales at Cook Medical until May 2014.

Kim always wanted to start her own business but never found the best opportunity and the franchise costs were not appealing. After a conversation with her sister and brother-in-law (Linebacker Coach for the Dallas Cowboys), her prayers were answered.  Turns out CryoTherapy is sweeping across the country and used by the NFL, NBA, etc.  After six months of research and travel, her dream has come true!

"I've always made it my rule to never work at a place or sell something I don't believe in.  I truly believe in CryoTherapy and my facility, and  I am so excited to begin this new chapter in my life."

About Whole Body CryoTherapy
With Whole Body Cryotherapy (WBC) the body is exposed to ultra-low temperatures (-200 to -290 F) for less than 3 minutes. As you enter the cryosauna, the sudden drop in temperature stimulates the cold receptors causing vasoconstriction, promptng the brain to transmit messages throughout the body. When you exit the chamber, blood is pumped vigorously around the body, which in turn enhances the oxygen supply and removal of toxins. The cold also triggers the nervous sytem to release feel-good endorphins. The body's natural anti-inflammatory reaction to extreme cold is pain reduction.

This modality was first utilized in Japan in 1978 to treat rheumatoid arthritis. Studies conducted over the last two decades in Europe have established WBC as a powerful treatment for inflammatory disorders and injuries.

Professional athletes have discovered WBC as a powerful treatment to decrease recovery  time and increase athletic performance.
